I did not take many pics on Valentine's Day and the ones I did manage to take did not turn out well. We got a few little gifts for the boys. They each got a new train for their train set, a few candies, and some new books. Kale also got a drawing pad and some special pens. The night before Valentine's Day, I taught my ESL class (adult continuing ed) and a few of my sweet students brought me stuffed animals and a small balloon. I put the stuffed animals in the boys' gifts and the small balloon in Liam's bag. Oh my goodness--this was the wrong thing to do! The boys fought nonstop over the balloon. After naps on Valentine's Day, we ended up going to the Dollar Tree to get each of the boys a helium balloon.
The boys were also spoiled by their grandparents on V-day. They received special packages from both sets of grandparents. Kale looks for a package in the mail each time we check it now. He is disappointed a lot. :) He and Liam do both really enjoy opening the junk mail though!
I made special heart-shaped chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Neither of them would eat the pancakes, so Kris and I ate them! As a special treat, I took the boys to Sweet Frog for some frozen yogurt...Kale's favorite!
Kris and I exchanged gifts on Valentine's evening and had a wonderful steak dinner at home. Kris grilled fillets that he bought at fresh market and they were delicious! On Saturday night, we went to my favorite Richmond restaurant, Bookbinders. I love the tuna there! Actually, I love just about everything about bookbinders!
