On the Move

This little guy is on the move! Although he is not sitting up, rolls in either direction to get what he wants. And he almost gets to a crawling position.... He can scoot all the way from one room to the next.

Kale had his art show at school on Thursday. It was awesome! We got to see so many cool projects that the students had done over the year. I LOVE his self portrait! My heart absolutely skipped a beat when I saw what he wanted to be when he grew up!

I love this picture! The boys with one of their best buddies, JJ.

We have purchased our swimming trunks! Come on summer!

This little guy is growing like a weed. He is already wearing his nine month clothes.

Random Pics

I just can't decide who Karson looks like...one moment, I feel like he looks just like Kale and the next, he looks like Liam (as in this picture).

The past 6 weeks have been rough on us! This was the first Sunday we have been to church since the end of January. Kris has been traveling, I was sick, the boys were sick, we had snow and ice...I am ready for spring!

After church, we enjoyed lunch at Which wich, one our favorite sandwich places. You can see the boys are happy!

I love Liam in this shirt. He looks so handsome!

I saw this on facebook and I am obsessed. I think it is so cute and such a neat way of making a keepsake out of baby's sleepers. Since we have had 3 boys that have shared many, many outfits, it is so hard for me to part with any of it! So many outfits hold such special memories.

I know our winter has been very mild compared to many but I am SO SICK of snow!!! The past 3 weeks we have missed a combined 9 days of pre-school. It doesn't help that it has been freezing cold...too cold to get 2 little energetic boys out to play. Not to mention, Richmond completely shuts down when it snows! On Friday, school was cancelled, although the roads were perfect. We headed to the mall to play at the playplace, get a pretzel and hit up the bookstore. But once we got there, we discovered that even the mall was closed! It's crazy!

The boys got snow gear from grandma and grandpa Helling from Christmas. When February hit and we hadn't received any snow, I thought we were not going to get to use it, but I was wrong! We have gotten plenty of use out of it now!

The boys still love their baby. I foresee many fun times in the bath in the future.

...and this one, he is the sweetest thing ever.

Update

I am doing terrible at keeping up with my blog and I hate it! Since this is my means of scrapbooking for the boys, I really want to make it a priority. Life is busy!

Kris and I purchased a new sectional for the family room. It is super comfy.

The old set was about 15 years old, so it was time for a new one! The tabletops are granite, so they make me a bit nervous. But other than that, I love the set!

This sweet boy is five months old! He is still teeny tiny but is eating like crazy!

He loves his fingers! He can roll both directions at this point and is so close to sitting up.

Kale still thinks Karson hung the moon! He is wonderful with him.

But... This is the reason I can't blog, the baby just woke up! Hopefully, more to come soon.

3 Months

This sweet boy is already 3 months old. Totally insane to me! He wore his daddy's baby clothes for this picture. So special!

Karson is the BEST baby! At 3 months, he weighs 13 lb 5 oz and eats about 4-4 1/2 ounces at a time. He sleeps through the night sometimes, but sometimes gets up to eat just once. He takes really good naps and is super easy to get to sleep. He smiles, laughs, and rolls over.

This little guy has my heart...I just want to stop time with him.

Karson's Baptism

Karson's baptism took place on January 11, 2015. He was 3 months old. He wore his dad's baptism outfit, plus a sweater, because it was quite cold!

Kris' family from Iowa came to visit. Kale and Liam loved spending time with their cousin, Scarlett. I love this picture of all of them!

Kris' parents with all 4 of the grandkids.

Our attempt at a family photo...

The senior pastor, David Dwight, at Hope Church baptized Karson.

Karson did a great job and actually slept until the cold water was sprinkled on his head.

His little lip trembled when the cold water touched his head, but he held it together!

Our pastor did a wonderful job with the baptism. I love how our church asks the parents to reaffirm marriage vows before baptism. I also love the pledge from the church.

After the baptism, we celebrated with a family dinner at a local restaurant.

Several of my good friends and their families attended the baptism. It was so special to have these women there supporting me.

My girlfriends and some of our kiddos. We were all pregnant at the same time, so we have doubled our number of children recently. It is chaotic when we get together but so worth it!

Kale's Christmas Program

Kale had his Christmas program at school right before break. The program was so cute! He was a shepherd.

The children did a great job reenacting the Christmas story. The program was short--only 7 minutes, but the kids had short lines and sang a few quick songs.

The wise men are triplets and happen to be Kale's best friends at school. Bless their momma!

I was hoping to upload the video of the program, but it was much too long. Watching the way the kids handled the baby Jesus was hilarious. They were none too gentle.
