Happy Halloween!

Karson was a pumpkin for Halloween!

Kale and Liam were Buzz Lightyear and Superman

They were both SO excited to go trick or treating! It was almost impossible to keep up with them. They really understood what to do this year.

After 45 minutes, we headed home. Their buckets were so full that Liam couldn't walk without falling over.

Once home, we enjoyed the spoils of our labor, ate a pizza dinner, and watched the Halloween episode of Curious George.

One Month

Karson turned one month old (awhile back). At one month, he pretty much eats, sleeps, and poops! Exactly what a baby is supposed to do! He wakes every 3 hours at night to eat.

At his one month appointment, he weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long. He was in the 16th percentile for both height and weight. He was healthy, but was diagnosed with reflux. We are currently thickening breast milk for him with rice cereal and he is on a medicine. It has made a huge difference! Milk no longer comes out his nose!

Karson went to church for the first time when he was one month old.

Pumpkin Painting

I am trying to catch up on my blog. I am way behind....on everything, not just the blog.

The boys painted pumpkins a few weeks before Halloween.

We also used these Mr. Potato Head like pieces for the face.

Grandma and Grandpa Helling were visiting. We tried to get a good picture of everyone, but the boys weren't cooperating.

Getting a good picture of all 3 is impossible.

Karson enjoyed meeting Grandma and Grandpa.

He got lots of good snuggles in!

Smiling Baby

Karson is 7 weeks now and is really starting to smile. I also think he is beginning to look more like Liam.

Happy boy!

Catching Up

I am really going to try to get caught up on my blog this week. I still have so many posts to do!

This picture above is of Karson and one of my lovely friends. I have a few close friends here who really make life as a mommy so much better! They listen to me complain and give advice when solicited and most importantly, they hold my baby so I can get a hot meal!

Liam had surgery to remove a growth from the back of his head a few weeks ago. The surgery went well and his head is already healing beautifully!

Kris was in Boston this past week. From here on out, he will travel to Boston every other week. We survived our first week without dad (thanks to a lot of help from my girlfriends). At times, there was a lot of crying around here. The picture above of is poor Karson. He cried himself to sleep one night because I just couldn't get to him fast enough. He doesn't seem to understand that his brothers have to eat and bathe too.

This is my view most days. Karson enjoys being "worn." He spends lots of time in the Bjorn and Moby.

My girlfriend posted this on FB the other day after I had a really HARD night. It was exactly the encouragement I needed.

I think Karson might be a thumb sucker! Oh no! I would way rather him take a paci...after all, you can take the paci away.

Karson's Newborn Photos

I was so pleased with Karson's newborn photos! I was honestly really dreading it because getting a good picture of a newborn is hard enough, but add in 2 big brothers? Impossible! But we got really lucky with a great photographer and the boys were on their best behavior.

I originally thought Karson looked just like Kale, but sometimes he also looks like Liam.

Love those cheeks!

Karson hasn't purposefully smiled yet, but frequently does in his sleep.

One of my students bought Karson this little outfit from H & M. I love it!

Really enjoying this time with my baby boy.

I never thought, in a thousand years, I would be the mother of 3 boys, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I was thrilled with our family shots. The photographer told us multiple times that we had the most photogenic family.

All of my boys!

I will forever cherish these next 2 pictures of my boys.

They LOVE their baby brother.

Yes, Karson is in the car! I am already dreading the day these guys can drive!

I am not sure what my mom fed this one while I was in the hospital, but when I came home he literally weighed 3 more pounds than he did when I left. Spoiled by grandma!

He looks so big!

And our traditional picture...this is real life people!

Karson's First Bath

Karson had his first bath (awhile ago--he is 5 weeks already.) As with all our babies, he did  not like it.

The boys were excited to watch him "enjoy" his bath. Although they still HATE it when he cries. It's not unsual for Karson to be crying and then for both of the boys to start screaming and crying at me if I don't get to him fast enough.

He looks so small here. He has really bulked up lately though. I hope to catch up on my blogging one day...I am so behind!
